The Business
LandCal Logistics had momentum. The company had recently been recognized on the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies. It had a strong reputation, loyal customer relationships and real brand equity.
That kind of growth is hard to earn. But it often creates a new problem.
The Challenge
As LandCal grew, its brand and digital presence hadn’t kept pace.
This is common in fast-growing companies. The business moves faster than the marketing. New services get added, new industries get served and the company’s capabilities expand. Meanwhile, the website and visual identity still reflect an earlier version of the business.
For LandCal, the risk wasn’t that people didn’t like the company. Its customers clearly did. The risk was that prospective customers might not see the full scale of what LandCal could do, or understand why it was different from every other logistics provider.
The answer wasn’t to reinvent LandCal. Throwing out a brand with that much equity would have meant walking away from something valuable.
The opportunity was to sharpen what already made the company successful. So we started by understanding what that was.
What We Found
Through our Growth Blueprint process, we dug into the business: LandCal’s customers, competitors, culture, capabilities and vision for the future.
One theme kept rising to the surface.
The logistics industry is becoming more automated and more impersonal. LandCal had built its reputation by doing the opposite. The company prioritized relationships, communicated proactively and genuinely cared about the businesses behind every shipment.
That wasn’t a marketing angle someone invented. It was how LandCal actually operated, and it was the reason customers stayed. It just wasn’t being stated clearly enough to do its job in the market.
That became the foundation for everything that followed.
The Plan
Our work centered around three priorities.
1. Define a Clear Position
We developed LandCal’s positioning and messaging around a single idea: Relationship-First Logistics.
In a crowded industry, a clear position gives prospective customers a reason to choose you that isn’t price alone. It also gives the team a shared way to describe what makes the company different. For LandCal, the position came directly from what customers already valued, which made it both credible and easy to stand behind.
2. Evolve the Identity Instead of Replacing It
LandCal’s existing brand carried real recognition, so we didn’t start from scratch. We evolved the visual identity into a more sophisticated system that preserved what people already knew while better reflecting the size and capability of the company today.

We then expanded that system into brand guidelines and marketing collateral, so the brand would hold together consistently as LandCal continues to grow.

3. Bring the Story Together Online
For a logistics company, the website has to do a lot of work. Prospective customers want to understand services, see whether the company serves their industry and get a feel for who they’d be working with.
We completely redesigned LandCal’s website to bring its services, industries, capabilities and personality together under one cohesive story. The goal was a site that shows the scale of the business without losing the human approach behind it.
The Results
Today, LandCal has a brand built around a clear position: Relationship-First Logistics.
Its messaging is sharper, its visual identity better reflects the company it has become and its new website gives prospective customers a complete picture of what LandCal does and how it does it. The brand system and guidelines give the company a consistent foundation to build on, and we continue to provide ongoing brand support as the business grows.
But the most meaningful result is this: LandCal now has a brand that can keep up with its growth, while preserving the human approach that made it successful in the first place.
